What is Hybrid Imaging?

Co-registered and co-linear IVUS and OCT imaging allows you to see the same part of the vessel from two perspectives.

How Does Hybrid Imaging Work?

The IVUS and OCT beams are aligned by design (core intellectual property), with the IVUS transducer having a hole in it to allow the OCT imaging beam to overlap with the IVUS beam. This allows you to collect IVUS and OCT images in a single imaging run and ensures you are seeing the same part of the vessel with both modalities.

Why is Hybrid Imaging Important?

IVUS imaging and OCT imaging each have their strengths and weaknesses. Hybrid imaging provides versatility during procedures, while making image interpretation and education easier for operators.
